Villa
La Palma: This spacious Sorrento villa,
built in 1973 by a renowned Neapolitan architect, is set
in an
elevated
position near the sea and enjoys magical views of the Isle of Capri and the
Bay of Naples. It’s surrounded by a hectare of
land, where the Mediterranean vegetation blends with ancient olive and
fruit trees.
Villa La Palma develops over three levels, with the living rooms opening
to furnished porticoes and a central terrace with swimming pool. Palms and
pine
trees,
together with white canvas parasols, provide shelter from the sun; all around
the terrace are flowered garden beds, oleanders, rose bushes, and bougainvillea
vines.
From the main terrace, steps lead to the floor above, with a playing area
for children and more terraces at bedrooms level. Inside, the place is absolutely
elegant in its simplicity: colourful divans against white washed walls on
warm, rustic cotto tiles; interesting pieces of furniture include a beautiful
15th century Tuscan cupboard and 17th century sideboard holding antique pottery.
On the walls, old prints of landscapes and portraits will delight guests.

- Entrance from terrace into a split-level living room, with two sets of sliding doors opening to a porticoed area, furnished with built-in cushioned seating and glass-topped tables. Going down seven steps takes you to the ground level—with sitting room, satellite TV, fireplace, twin bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower .
- From main level: Three steps up to another living area, which opens to a deck—equipped with outdoor dining area (wrought iron, glass topped table and chairs).
- The fully-equipped kitchen opens to a portico.
- Dining room - opening to front terrace and pool
Steps to first floor, leading to landing and:
- Master bedroom with ensuite (bath & handheld shower), and television, TV, opening to an upper terrace facing Capri).
- Second matrimonial bedroom with its own bathroom and TV, opening to terrace.
- Small utility room .
- Twin bedrooms—beds can be joined—that open to the terrace. They share a bathroom with tub.
- All first floor bedrooms have ceiling fans
Access: from a narrow uphill private street; staircase (33 steps) or path from parking space.
Note: The parking area is long and narrow, but with enough room to manoeuvre a SW car.
