Villa Belvedere: This villa is located in
the exclusive hamlet of S. Maria Annunziata, one of the most
enchanting spots of the Sorrento
Peninsula.
The
hamlet of S.
Maria
was the original site of the town of Massalubrense in the
1400s. It boasts two 15th century churches and historical buildings, a
restaurant in
the piazza, a monastery and a watch tower. To complete the scene, Mallalubrense
is home to the 17th century Villa Murat.
The whole area is criss-crossed with ancient walking tracks, ready for exploration...
or drive down beautiful coastal roads to the local swimming spots or beaches,
or maybe
just relax and enjoy the marvellous close-up views of the Isle of Capri in
this corner
of Paradise.
Villa Belvedere is situated at the ground level of a beautiful terraced property
in a secluded private road, protected by security gates. The entrance to the
villa is shared with the owners and
leads to a graveled garden. It commands lovely views from the Gulf of Naples
to the Isle of Capri and the whole Sorrento coastline. The apartment is beautifully
decorated and furnished with fine antiques, prints and paintings.
The beautifully-landscaped garden showcases a mix of tropical and Mediterranean
plants: bougainvilleas, wisteria, lemon and olive trees. A large canvas parasol,
complete with solid garden table and chairs and in - built seating provides
a very comfortable setting for al fresco meals. Outdoor shower and sun beds
are also there for sun-lovers.
