Casetta della Volpe in Sorrento

This villa, Casetta della Volpe, overlooks the enchanting bay of Mitigliano, one of the coves on the extreme tip of the Sorrento Peninsula, called Punta Campanella, in the village of Termini. The surrounding area was recently declared National Park; it is close to a World Wildlife Federation protected zone and is therefore a veritable oasis of peace.

The villa, Casetta della Volpe, is surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub with close-up views of the island of Capri dominating the sea ahead. A downhill walk, starting from the entrance gate, leads to the pebbly beach below, and if you feel too lazy to go down for a swim, you can simply plunge into the small pool and enjoy the sea view from the semi- shaded terrace or just relax in the garden under the shade of an olive tree. The property has 300 sqm. of garden, a firewood pizza oven, built-in barbecue and even a bocce field! Not suitable for children under 12.

Entrance into small rustic style living room, with a stone tiled wall and fireplace, meals area and open kitchen, leading to portico with oven, barbecue area and laundry/cloak room.

Access: The access road is steep, but if you are a good driver and your car is small, you can park virtually in front of the house, otherwise you can leave your car in a flat spot nearby. Car is essential.
Facilities: Washing machine, remote - controlled gates, intercom with video camera, small pool (2x5m.), wood oven and barbecue, car parking.
Services: English speaking manager on call. Maid: 2 hours midweek and Saturdays with change of linen. Extra hours on request on confirmation of booking, payable locally.
Distances: to Termini, shops, chemist, post office, bar and restaurant: 1 km • Massa Lubrense: 7 km • Sorrento with further facilities, cafes, restaurants, hospital, hydrofoil to Naples, Positano, Amalfi, Capri: 10 km • Positano: 20 km • Amalfi: 25 km • Ravello: 30km • Pompeii: 40 km • Nearest beach by bus (bus stop in Termini's plaza): approx. 20 min
Airports: Naples: approx. 60 km • Rome (Fiumicino) 267 km
