A
lovely villa on the Italian Riviera
Villa Chabrol is a superb new villa with a lovely panoramic
view of the Mediterranean Sea, on the Italian
Riviera. Self-contained and peaceful,
this villa is a showcase of antiques, and comfortable furnishings, with
every
modern convenience and window
screens in every room.
The huge living-room is exquisite, with French
doors leading onto the large, furnished terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.
Terracotta floors, inlaid with mosaic, are almost minor works of art. A lounge
is filled with comfortable leather couches; it’s so relaxing! Red velour
seats, and a handmade wooden table make the dining room comfortable and inviting.
The villa boasts more than 120 square metres of living space.
The newly-renovated
kitchen has been finished with pink and grey marble counter that incorporates
a dishwasher, an electrical oven, and most modern appliances.
The large master bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed, a two-mirror
wardrobe, and an ensuite bathroom with a tub, and luxurious marble tiles. The
additional bedrooms have wooden floors, with a fine bathroom (coloured glass
brick shower and Carrara marble) nearby.
Villa Chabrol is the perfect accommodations for guests who have high
standards, and a desire for privacy. Our guests have the opportunity
to sunbathe on the
terrace, or enjoy candlelit dinners on warm evenings. The large terrace,
bordered by a white balustrade, has a marble staircase that leads to
the Mediterranean
garden that has been beautifully landscaped. It is filled with lovely shrubs
and colorful flowers that will please the eye—and the soul—in
every season.
Villa Chabrol is also convenient. The bus into town is just a five-minute
walk, and one of the Italian Riviera’s best seafood restaurants (Ulisse)
is barely a hop, skip and a jump away. A 40-minute jaunt will take you
to a delightful
medieval village (La Pigna), with narrow Ligurian alleys and an incomparable
view of the Gulf of San Remo.
General: Central heating, linen and towels provided; Kitchen: dishwasher,
freezer, fridge, electrical oven, washing machine; Living
Room and dining room: seating
for seven; Bathroom: 2 full bathrooms (one
with tub and shower, the other one with a large shower); Bedrooms:
two bedrooms with queen-size bed, one with
with two single beds, and one folding bed in the bedroom or living
room, plus a small
cot. Sleeps a maximum of 8 people.
Additional
fees are charged at the end of your stay, based on consumption. This includes
gas, electricity and water.
Entertainment: satellite tv. Outside: large,
magnificent garden with pines,
palms, oleanders and
a lawn; lovely seaview; park of mimosas; orchard; large terrace—overlooking
the Gulf of Sanremo—equipped with deckchairs, parasol, table
and seats. Parking for 3 or 4 cars in the
villa’s
courtyard. Suitability: children welcome,
pets considered, suitable for elderly or infirm, wheelchair accessible. Local
activities: swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling,
fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, water skiing, mountain biking.
Location: Villa Chabrol is peacefully nestled
in the hills overlooking the Gulf of Sanremo, an important seaside
resort— just
40 minutes from Montecarlo and an hour from Nice. An art nouveau style
is found throughout the town, which is home to sumptuous
villas and a monumental casino. The ancient nucleus of Sanremo is called
La Pigna, founded in about 1,000 AD. It’s comprised of stone alleys,
small squares, covered passsageways, and ancient houses. You’ll
not only see the history; you’ll feel it.
Nearby: If an active vacation is important
to you, you’ll be well
served at Villa Chabrol. Tennis courts, a golf course, warm, sandy beaches,
a
sailing school,
and horseback riding can all be found within a five to 10 mile radius.
