A lovely villa near Lake Garda
On a private
hilly estate with its own gated entrance, sits a lovely country villa called Monte
Pico,
recently built in harmony with the surroundings. All around is a small
forest of ash
trees, oaks and elms, mixed with native bushes and wild flowers; further
down,
towards Lake Garda are rows of producing vineyards. The
area is blessed by a mild climate and an amazing landscape: snow-capped mountains,
blue
skies
and
an abundance of olive trees all around the shores of the lake: this is the
view to enjoy from the top of Monte Pico, where the villa sits.
For evening outings, the lively and elegant town of Desenzano has plenty to
offer: summer festivals, fine restaurants, night clubs or just romantic strolls
by the lake, quaint little villages and castles waiting to be explored.
At Monte Pico, the owners live in the upper area of the villa and have left
the apartment at the ground floor for exclusive use of their guests, with
separate entrances. The apartment, opening to the front yard of the house,
is airy, spacious and comfortably furnished with some Art Deco pieces. Floors
are covered with timber parquetry and walls are painted in warm cream tones;
ample external spaces are at disposal of guests for barbecues, picnics and
outdoor dining. The free-shape swimming pool is situated at the top level
of the property and is shared with owners (time sharing can be arranged).
The owner is a member of the local yacht club, and he can organise sailing
on the lake on request.
