Beautiful garden property on Lake Como

San Siro is a unique, peaceful hamlet at a short distance from Menaggio, where you can walk the cobblestone streets leading to a beautiful castle, circa 1,000 AD. You’ll almost feel like you’ve stepped back a millennium or so.

Situated near this picturesque village, just 200 metres from the lake, is Villa Pagoda, a very attractive house with wonderful garden and majestic views of Lake Como and surrounding mountains. Villa Pagoda offers total privacy because it's fenced and surrounded by a lovely (1,000 square meter) garden.

Features include a wonderful iron-framed gazebo with glass roof, perfect for relaxing or dining in nature. The interior, mainly furnished with XIX century décor, has been decorated in warm tones, such as pale yellow, and soft orange. The floors are covered by Lombard cotto tiles, and all bedrooms have wooden floors. Throughout the villa are lovely prints and colourful soft furnishings which make this a wonderful and cheering place to stay.

Entrance from a glass covered loggia, with open view over the blue water of the lake, onto:
A large sitting and dining room with open built – in kitchenette, opening to the garden.
On a mezzanine floor is a children’s twin bedroom (these beds cannot be joined)
Stairs lead up to the first floor with:
Master bedroom and en suite shower room
Twin bedroom and further shower room

The lower ground floor can be made to accommodate two extra people, upon request. It has:

Twin bedroom (can be joined to form a king size bed)
A large room with billiard table and shower room

Access: The house is accessible via a private driveway from the main road. Entry to the property is through electronically-operated wrought iron gates, with parking for two or three cars. Facilities: TV, central heating, washing machine and dishwasher; tennis courts are available nearby. Services: English speaking manager on call. Maid service for two hours a week (Tuesday and Thursday) is included during high season. No midweek cleaning is included during low and mid season. Maid hours can be booked upon request.

Distances: 5 min walk from San Siro, with simple grocery store, pizzeria and bus stop; 5km from Menaggio (golf course, shops, bank, post office, restaurants); 18km to Bellagio (via ferry); 30 km to Como (shops, cafés, restaurants, banks, post office, railway station with connections to central Milan). In the village of San Siro, many water sports facilities are provided (boat hire, sailing, surfing). Airports: Milano Malpensa: Km 100; Milano Linate: 125 Km; Bergamo: Orio al Serio: 155 Km.

Villa Pagoda rents for 2,500 Euros per week, with a 300 Euro security deposit.
