Menaggio, Lake Como

Lake Como is surrounded by many graceful resorts: Menaggio, on the western shore, is considered the centre Lake Como. It is a pleasant and lively town, with its piazza and outdoor cafes, the beautiful lakeside promenade lined by villas, Belle Epoque hotels and parks,and balconies graced with cascades of geraniums.

From Menaggio, a winding road leads up to the old hub of Laveno and above it to a residential park area, with a complex of apartments spread on a green terraced hill, offering stunning views over the two branches of the lake. The resort of Varenna is visible on the opposite side of the lake, while the Bellagio peninsula protrudes out in the near distance. The roofs of Menaggio form a mosaic below.

A large swimming pool, 20 x 10 metres, is surrounded by a large paved sun terrace equipped with lounge chairs and a clay tennis court which is available to the guests (swimming caps are requested for swimming).

From the car park, an ancient cobbled walking path leads directly to Menaggio, passing through the medieval village of Laveno and the marvellous park of Villa Vigoni, residence of the German -Italian Cultural Centre (the villa and library are open to the public).

Accommodation:
Le Terrazze consists of two adjacent and symmetrical apartments, Camelia and Azalea, independent from each other. They can be rented together or separately.

Camelia (60 sqm +20): sleeps 2, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom

Entrance into living room, with well equipped kitchen area and table for four; a large French door leads to the terrace with magnificent view of the lake. The sitting area, with sofa and fireplace is positioned in the living room and has a large window with views.
From living room, access to a night area separated by a doorway equipped with a wardrobe. The double bedroom with large French door, opens to same terrace. Bathroom has a tub and shower.

Azalea (60+20 sqm): sleeps 2 + 2, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom

Same as Camelia, except for a small twin bedroom, suitable for children or teenagers.

Access: Through remote controlled or pedestrian gates. From the parking area, 30 metres of paved walking track and a series of 18+18 stairs lead to the balcony-entrance.
Facilities: Independent electrical heating, car park, barbecue
Distances: Milano 120 Km - Como Km 41 - Menaggio Km 2.5 (hydrofoils to Como, Bellagio, Varenna)
Airports: Milano Malpensa: 100 km; Milano Linate: 120 Km; Milano Orio al Serio: 150 Km
