This lovely apartment is located in the heart of Santa Maria Rezzonico, one of the Lake Como region's most ancient villages. Coming from the state road and going toward the centre of the village, the pebbled street narrows and descends to the lake through a path of alternating steps (so no high heels if you want to get there in one piece!)

La Calchera used to be a fishermen’s house, so if you're looking for large spaces and sun-dappled terraces, you should look elsewhere. What you will find is a nicely-renovated apartment — comfortably furnished with high quality pieces and bedding — that is ideal for a couple looking for a peaceful spot in one of Lake Como's most beautiful and romantic spots.

The windows let in views of the lake and the mountains, framed by the roofs and stone walls of the village houses, and adorned with geranium pots. The atmosphere is peaceful and the beach is one of the Lake's most appealing. Here you will delight, spending hours just reading, or catching the sun, or swimming in summer, or just watching the fishermen catching lavarelli.

Windsurfing and water sports facilities are available in S. Maria Rezzonico and San Vito.

Accommodations:

Entrance: into the living room, with sitting area by the open marble fireplace. The kitchen, fully equipped, with fine Italian handcraft cabinets, made of solid walnut, like the dining table.
Bedroom: With a very comfortable Flou bed (electric blankets are provided for winter), a chest of drawers, a spacious wardrobe, and a television.
Bathroom: The owner's pride and joy! The sink is made of pink African marble, while the shower cabin is equipped with six vertical water jets!
All the rooms, bathroom included, enjoy a spectacular view of the lake
