Punta
del Sol: an apartment in Positano
On the coastal road, three kilometres from Positano,
perched on the cliffs descending to the Mediterranean sea is Punta del Sole.
This
lovely
independent apartment
is immersed in a lush vegetation of native bushes, olive trees and lemon groves
and is blessed by sea breeze and sunlight. The house has been recently renovated
and refurnished to conform to high standards of accommodation. Its location
is absolutely enchanting; it offers a full panorama of the Gulf of
Salerno with the Islands of i Galli. The landlady, who lives in the apartment
below, has its own orchard and is always available for assistance.
A
small pool is also available for midday or midnight dips, too!
Accomodation: (120 sqm)
From the gate, 120 steps lead down to the entrance of the apartment.
The entrance leads to a long corridor; immediately on the right is
the spacious built-in kitchen with bench and table, ample cabinets.
From here, opening to
a big balcony that covering the whole length of the apartment, shaded
by a pergola and well equipped for lounging or dining al fresco.
Along the corridor, on the opposite side are:
- a
bathroom with tub, and a further larger bathroom with double sinks,
shower and tub.
On the terrace side are: - Two double bedrooms, with French windows opening to the same terrace.
- Double bedroom with window looking out to the sea.
- An ample living room, with open fireplace and dining area, opens to the terrace through four sets of French doors.
Access: From the main road 102 steps lead down to the apartment. Parking is allowed on the side of the entrance gate.
Facilities: Central heating in both apartments, TV, washing machine (only in the bigger apartment), barbecue, stereo. A small pool is also available.
Services: English speaking manager on call.
Distances: The centre of Positano is accessible in ten minutes via local shuttle bus, which runs every hour. The bus stop to Positano is 50 meters away from the gate. Amalfi (22 km), Ravello (27 km), and Sorrento (22 km) are all within driving distance. From Amalfi, boats and hydrofoils ply between Capri (1 h.), Salerno (1h.) Positano (20 min.) and Sorrento.
