Il Faro is located at Marina Grande, the main beach of Positano, in the midst of the fashionable and vibrant centre, with all the fabulous restaurants, lovely boutiques and sandals shops. Simply stepping out of the villa, you immerse yourself in the life of this magical village: walk to the beach, admire the painters’ work or the fishermens’ nets drying in the sun; indulge in shopping or just go for a swim down at the pebbly beach.

Il Faro is a spacious, independent house dating back to the 17th Century, spread over two levels and recently refurbished to a high standard. The owners have taken great care to add their personal touch and have decorated the villa in rich pastel tones and furnished it in the elegant Mediterranean fashion. It will sleep two couples, with two additional small rooms for singles.

Entrance through a patio into a large living room and dining area, with two French windows to the terrace area.

Stairs to mezzanine level with:

one single small bedroom,with a small oval window, and use of a half bath downstairs, with bidet.

Stairs to second floor with:

one master bedroom with en suite bath (with shower) opening to a narrow panoramic terrace
second double bedroom opening to a small terrace with view of the alley
one bathroom with shower at the beginning of the corridor to share with the 2 bedrooms

Access: 6 steps from road level. Access by taxi to main square of Positano and then on foot, 300 m. walking.
Facilities: Air conditioned throughout• telephone• washing machine• dishwasher • stereo• central heating. Garden: Large terrace equipped with garden furniture and awning, looking over a lush garden adjacent to the house.
Services: English speaking manager on call Maid service :1 hour, 6 days a week. Change of linen on Saturdays. Porters available on request, to be paid locally.
Distances: Bus stop (internal): approx. 700 m. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Beach: 20 m. • Bus to Amalfi and Sorrento: approx. 1 Km.Sorrento (further facilities, hospital, train to Naples) 22 Km • Amalfi 15 Km • Ravello 25 Km • Pompei 55 Km.
Airports: Naples 70 Km • Rome (Fiumicino) 330 Km • Hydrofoil from Naples: 50 min.
